Nice book with interesting background information about Irish pubs and foods served in various locations. Many recipes to try. Really nice pictures.
Fantastic! This is one of my favorites out of a very extensive collection. Highly recommended to anyone interested in Irish or pub cuisine.
I got all crazy watching The Great Irish Bake-off and started buying a bunch of Irish cooking books; this is one of them, and it is outstanding. I've turned down the corners on probably 15 recipes, and the one I've made so far was excellent.
Not only are the recipes great, but the stories that tell of history/origins/traditions/culture/food are enjoyable to read. There are great resources at the back for hard to find ingredients and options given if you do not have access to some of the specialty foods some of the recipes call for. Our family favorite is the Enniscoe Celery and Blue Cheese Soup on page 36.
Nice photos and stories but too many of the same recipes with slight variations.
If you’re Irish or just like the food this is a good “go toâ€. Lots of hearty comfort food with an Irish twist.
Great cookbook for anyone that loves Irish food. Have tried a couple of the recipes and they have came out great.
Receipes look terrific and should easily be able to cook. From what I have looked at there are some great ideas and I could easily replace ingredients ( we don't care for lamb, etc.) . I'm happy with this cookbook .
