Jeff Rose starts by educating you how to get out of debt, then moves towards investing and increasing your passive income. He makes comparisons between financial education and the times he spent in the military. His humoristic aproach makes reading very pleasant and the goals and checklist at the end of each chapter pushes you into the pursuit of financial stability. I definitely recommend it.

First Finance book I've read. It was super packed with information. However I will just start with what I didn't like. The first half of the book was the same topic. A very needed topic but being a rookie I already knew that credit was a big deal. Now for someone who is fresh out of high school who has no idea what credit is and is looking to get started. It would be perfect for them. It was like it was designed for them which is great!!!Those who are not considered rookies or maybe people who already know the ins and outs of credit I would still say to read it. Might be a little boring but in the end I did learn a thing or two.I learned more from the 2nd half of the book. Rookie or not I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to get into Financial freedom. Lets be completely honest. Kids in high school will need to read this. Its a must. They need to know at least the credit part. Jeff Rose provides such a different way of looking at it that is easy to understand. For all my Vets out there who are reading this. Thank you for your service and by all means. This is pretty much a T.O. to money. The lower ranks could benefit from this and I am just happy I got my hands on it while being in the lower ranks. E3 Just did the release on all the new games coming out. I know either you or someone you know wants to buy these games. Well follow this book and you will be at the point where you can go out this very moment and buy that game without having to count pennies. If that is what you want if not maybe its getting a big house. Once again this book.Thanks Jeff Rose for the information in this book. I bought this book after coming across the author's website. I found several interesting chapters that were very well written. This book uses the author's experience in the military and he compares it to the "battle" over our personal finances. I enjoyed many of the military terms as he applied them to personal finance. But that approach and comparison, at times, was a bit of a stretch. I would, however, recommend the book for anyone beginning their journey of getting a handle on their finances.

Incredibly basic. If you have more than the most rudimentary understanding of how to manage your finances, this book will likely add very little to your knowledge. I wish I could return it.

Love Jeff Rose & Soldier of Fortune. Good solid advice that you can trust. I will read more of his books as they come out. Great gift for young adults just getting started too, since schools don't teach anything about handling finances.

I found Jeff Rose from his youtube videos. Big fan. Very down to earth and seems knowledgeable. I picked up his book and gave it a read. Very easy to read and I personally was a big fan of the military terms, though I have never been in the military I was able to follow with his examples very easily. I was hoping the book would have more on how to make the money grow and investment vehicles for my money... didnt really get to much of that. The book is 100% for someone who realizes they have a debt issue and need a place to start. The book does well at motivating and explaining simple debt issues and solutions. I liked hearing Jeff explain his own issues with debt growing up and was relateable. Good stuff.

Finished the book in a day because I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended for someone who is working towards their financial goals, for those more experienced it’s a great reminder to keep you on track.

Excellent starter book that can help individuals focus on getting their finances under control. I have read the book and have also given it to my adult children. I really like how the book helped me understand how I felt about certain credit card debts (you may have certain emotional feelings towards specific cards) and how I approached the payment process differently after reading the book. The book also addresses the critical need for young people (actually all people) to start consistently saving for now (emergencies) and for retirement. It is quite interesting to observe how the writer uses military examples to get his points across.
