I've never read a book about the fishing industry but this book had me. It's fantastic how the author made a newby fishing industry reader know everything needed to know before the storm. Would recommend.
I am the granddaughter, daughter, and sister of commercial fishermen. I knew some of the people mentioned in the book.I thought the book was very well written. Linda Risdal was a good friend on mine.If you are not from a fishing family it is hard to explain it to people, the author has done a great job.
I bought & read this book in January 2019. I found this book to be very well written & informative. It is a book that is hard to put down when you start reading because of all that is happening & the way that the stories of the different boats involved are being told. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a true story that is truly exciting to read.
Neptune’s Nor’east is a great read. Great detail and heart were put into writing this book. The story was especially interesting because I remembered the loss of this fine vessel and her crew. The days of the great Eastern Rigs came to life once again. Thank You!
The author did a great job telling this story. His attention to the smallest details make this book a MUST read. It is easy to get sucked into the story and put yourself on board the ships and feel what the crew felt.
