Not knowing much about flax and with a project to establish a flax bed at a local museum I needed a comprehensive source of information. The Big Book of Flax is that in spades.
There's a lot of good information here, but some of the graphics are repetitive and wince-worthy. There aren't a ton of contemporary books on flax-working available, so the Zinzendorfs are to be commended for taking it on as a topic. For those of us who spin flax, their YouTube videos are almost surely familiar. The book expands on the content of those videos, and is a nice reference for many things "flax." If you've gone down the fiber rabbit hole far enough that you are thinking about growing, processing, or spinning your own flax, you may as well have this book on your shelf.
