Lauren Reeves is a comedy writer, actress, and TV host. She was born and raised on a goldmine in Fairbanks, Alaska, leaving at the age of 20 for New York City. This is the perfect gift for anyone who grew up playing The Oregon Trail, like myself. I originally bought the Ebook (which was great), but when I saw the hardcover vision in the store I had to get that as well. The illustrations are amazing! I'll definitely be buying this as a gift for my friends. It was really fun reminiscing about the game back in the day. The jokes are really funny and a lot of them made me laugh out loud. It was a very enjoyable read.
Made me laugh so hard - I too remember naming characters who would die after people I didn't like!
This would not download on my Kindle app on my iPad. I was charged for it in spite of that.
I enjoyed reading this book, but apart from the short introduction, it's really more like a collection of haiku or inspirational one-liners. I'm happy to hold onto it, but would have appreciated a forewarning.
This is not an interesting book, and not at all what it is presented to be. If I had purchased it in the hardcover edition I would send it back to Amazon.
I was hoping for some more sustenance in this book, but just like the Oregon Trail, the meat was scarce. I got a laugh out of it and for that I’ll give it 5 stars
I bought this book for my husband for Christmas since we are from the Oregon Trail generation. He absolutely LOVED all of the references and how the author tied it to being an adult. This present was a win for sure!
It’s funny but way shorter than expected and not so much of a book as much as it is a quote per page.
