My 6 year old loves it, the steps are simple enough for him to follow along but detailed enough to make cool pictures and where he doesn't get bored. Great gift for any young artist, I would suggest for ages 4 to 8
This was a great buy. It had more dinosaurs than I had anticipated and gives good, clear illustrations of each. Most are a little more advanced than the cover illustration, so depending on how skilled your artist is, this is a good buy for both beginners and intermediate artists.
My 8 year old got this for his birthday and he loves it! Simple enough for him to follow and he loves to add his own flourishes to the designs given. He even transfers the methods to a blank sheet of paper and is so proud of himself. My 5 year old can follow along, too. They both love this book and are pleased with the variety of dinosaurs provided (these are two little paleontologists who, I swear, must know every species of dinosaur discovered yet).
I bought this for my son (4) and it's a little too advanced for him yet, but other than that it is exactly what I was looking for and I know we will get more use out of it as he gets older.
My kids really love to draw but are still learning. This book is ideal for teaching how to draw cute but simple drawings. Nothing complex or too difficult. I was really impressed how much better my 5 year old did drawing a horse after she practiced following the directions in this book. So many books I looked at were too complex for young school aged kids, but I thought this was spot on for my 5 year old novice artist. I myself enjoy drawing but have very little formal training and I enjoyed using it to draw some cute pictures for my kids to color.We use this as a fun craft time activity to do together that doesn’t require planning time or costly materials. I plan to get more of these soon.

So far a good item, explains step by step what to draw in order. The book is a page size long way & wideness. Nice for 5+ yr olds & any age beginners to draw. But I was hoping for the price it had more pages of animals to draw.It is a thin book, it's a lot less than 1/2 of inch of pages. Overall the book is an okay buy.Thank you
My 8 yr old nephew was drawing immediately! It's a great way to combine the love of dinosaurs with a creative outlet and skill building.
